Testing

The Dutch Float Dike has been extensively tested and meets all requirements set by Rijkswaterstaat, the Limburg Water Authority, and the national Flood Protection Program.

In a full‑scale (1:1) test installation, water tightness was measured and leakage values were found to be far below the required standards.

Additional tests were conducted to assess potential damage from collisions with floating trees or other large objects — both perpendicular and angled impacts.
