At the Flood Proof Holland test polder, various parties research, test, and experiment with temporary emergency measures and innovations to reduce flood risks. These include modular systems and flexible structures that can be transported, assembled, and deployed quickly.

The Dutch Float Dike is a permanent part of this test site. National and international flood‑protection stakeholders regularly attend demonstrations here.
